Now The Atari 2600 Has Nothing In Common With Chad Johnson

chadjohnsononmnfsmall.jpgWhat the hell? What did I just do? Did I just make a football joke? Has my job actually taken over that much of my life that the first "witty" thing I think to write for this story concerns a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals? Is my job the only reason I know how to spell that city?

Sorry, mini-pseudo-mid-life crisis there.

Hey, did you all know that there's a Toy Hall Of Fame? Well, the Atari 2600 was inducted into the Strong National Museum of Play along with the likes of the bicycle, jump rope and cardboard box. Seriously. The fucking cardboard box. I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved it on the rare occasion when we got a new appliance at home since this boring new hunk of metal came with its own fort. I just didn't realize it had made that much of an impact on the toy community.

Anyway, congrats Atari! Maybe this will take the sting off of that $12.1 million first quarter loss!

I currently like Chad Johnson more than the 2600... I wonder what that says about me.

The cardboard box obviously had a huge impact on Solid Snake.
