I haven't had this much fun with this type of game in a long time.
SOmetimes Im in a trance when Im playing the game seriously I wish our world were as peaceful and harmonious as the game lol
ANYWAYS THANKYOU SO MUCH WHOEVER FOUND THESE WALLPAPERS!!!
I fear I will never find another game quite as epic as Okami. Nontheless, thank-you for the wonderful wallpapers, I should have stumbled upon these long ago.
I'm a 20 year old sometimes-gamer who happened to borrow Okami and a Wii system from her boyfriend. I've played RPGs before - my favorite being the KOTOR pair and FF7 - but this game is like nothing I've ever seen. The musical score is gorgeous, the characters are fun to watch, and the overall gameplay is simply beautiful. There are rarely games that have a more feminine draw, but this one would certainly be on that list, both for Amaterasu being a girl and for the beautiful art (not to say that men aren't interested in art; it's just been my experience that the battle scenarios are what my male friends comment on the most).
After playing it on the Wii, I wanted to try the Playstation version, but I was somewhat dissapointed by the gameplay. Maybe it was just that I had gotten used to the Wii remote, but I love the physical action of drawing, and the fact that I can use my left hand to do it without changing any settings (I'm left-handed, so sometimes the controllers feel backwards to me). Are there other differences between the two games?
I'm glad I got a chance to experience this game. I played for about a week straight and beat it (I really got into it), and I was so involved in the storyline that the ending brought me close to tears! I wish there were more games like this out there, with worlds that are easy to immerse yourself in and graphics that draw in your memory.
But even on the second playthrough so far, the game is still amazing and rewarding!
