Video Game Voters NetworkIn a press release sent out today the Video Game Voters Network announced their "Play For Real: Gamer Voter Drive" that marks the first time a voter registration drive has been aimed directly at American adult gamers. If you're not aware the VGVN is an organization that keeps us gamers up to speed on political issues that we should be aware of. It's a place for concerned gamers to gather and express their opinion as one voice.

It's great to see an organization like this getting up and off the ground. As gamers we're usually a very opinionated and underrated bunch and despite what other differences of political opinion we may have issues concerning how we play or what we play should unite us. Take a moment to sign up for their newsletter and if for some reason you're not registered to vote please take some time to do so.

I haven't even read this article yet, I just wanted to say that I admire this site. Your fresh, intimate approach puts you one step deeper than other intelligent video game blogs (Joystiq, Kotaku). It strikes me as the kind of site I would run if I had any discipline at all. Thank you for doing what the more scatter-brained among us cannot! Keep up the good work!

All the credit goes to DanZuke. This is his baby. I have the pleasure to work with him at our "real life" job so I know how much work he has put into this and I'm glad to see that it seems to have lifted off the launch pad a bit. By the way, great job Dan!

Thanks for the kind words, it means alot. Running a site takes more time than I ever would've guessed to be honest, which is why there hasn't been much in the way of updates lately. I'm trying to fit everything in and I'd rather have less postings and keep the quality (such as it is) then just post tons of stuff.

Thanks again.
