PopCap Games: Huge Sale + Mac Peggle

Two great bits of news trickling out of the PopCap camp this week. First up is a big deal for all us Mac owners out there. Looks like Peggle has finally been ported to the Mac! Anyone familiar with the bitcast knows of our hefty obsession with what is essentially Plinko on steroids, and now us Mac'ers can enjoy it too.

It's being joined in Apple-land by another puzzle title that I'm not quite familiar with, Chuzzle. According to the press release "players slide rows of cute furballs called â€œchuzzlesâ€ to create vertically or horizontally matching sets of three or more chuzzles of the same color, causing the chuzzles to explode with happiness while more chuzzles drop down to take their places." So it's a fuzzy Bejeweled? Each title can be picked up for $19.95.

In non-Mac specific news, PopCap is offering 50% off on all of their games through the PopCap website from now until January 3rd. Sweetness!! $10 Peggle, here I come!

These little Indie games are great, but at $20 apiece they are way too expensive. $10 is more like it since I can get Half-Life2 on sale for $20 or less (picked up HL2 Ep1 for $10). Since they are also downloadable from the distributors website or places like Reflexive.com, their distribution costs are nill. This should lead to bundle prices like 3 for $20. Then they might be worth it.
