The invitations that have hit press outlets for the Rock Band presentation; hosted by Harmonix, MTV and EA, are suspiciously missing the PlayStation 3 logo while the Xbox 360 insignia is front and centre.

Rumors are now swirling that the title will be announced as a timed-exclusive for the Microsoft console.

Also, its notable to mention while Microsoft is booking press appointments for their first-party line-up (Halo 3, Mass Effect, ect.) they are also booking appointments for Rock Band which is the only third-party title on their list. By itself that point proves nothing, but its an interesting item none-the-less.

Microsoft will hold their press conference on Tuesday evening - could the software giant announce the much-anticipated title will be, yet another, exclusive lock?

Tune in here for live updates as they happen with our Editor-in-chief live from the show floor.

The playable build at EA's pre-E3 event was for Xbox 360, but that's not really saying anything. From what I saw, nearly every multi-platform game on display was shown for Xbox 360. I really hope I get a chance to play this again this week.

BTW, my preview went up this morning:

I think its interesting though that Microsoft would be booking the behind closed doors presentations for the game and not just EA/MTV/Harmonix.

I think it has potential to happen, the argument Wired makes is EA might want to focus on selling it for X360 due to its user base instead of making an equal amount of peripherals for both consoles to launch simultaneously.

But hey Andrew, its Pre-E3 and everything can come up as rumor.

I'll start one right now, Master Chief playable in Smash Bros. Confirmed.

Just joshing ya folks...
