Rumor: Microsoft buying Capcom

We're starting to catch wind of a possible purchase of Capcom by none other than Microsoft. If true, it would give the Xbox some of the desperately needed clout to get into Japan.

Recent exclusives like Dead Rising and Lost Planet certainly made good bedfellows between the two companies, and while I'm never a big fan of moves like this (for the fear that it'll silence some of the creativity in the marketplace) I can't deny what a big boost it would be for the big white box in the land of the rising sun.

More word as we hear it, but for now this is just a rumor.

That same rumor shows up every year or so. Why are we still paying attention to the people repeating this?

1st I've heard of it, besides it's worth considering. Misrosoft is dying to find a way into Japan. A good japanese company like capcom is a good way to try it out
