theBBPS Exclusive: Sam and Mac?

As you can probably tell from our reviews of Culture Shock and Situation Comedy, we here at BBPS are big fans of everybody's favorite freelance police, Sam and Max. Unfortunately for us though, a number of our team fall under the oft-forgotten title of "Mac Gamer." Sure, your Mac can put together a great podcast out of the box, but can it play Sam and Max? I got in touch with Telltale Games own Emily Morganti. Here's what she had to say...

A company called Vanbrio ported Out from Boneville to Mac for us, and we are seeing how that does and weighing our options for future Mac ports moving forward. Telltale is made up of a lot of Mac users or former Mac users who have crossed over to the dark side (myself included!), so we all understand the importance of bringing these games to Mac if we can swing it. In the meantime, I’m told the games run well under Boot Camp.

Sounds promising! As long as I had her on the line, I just had to ask about the possibility of Sam and Max coming to the Virtual Console. It sounded like an inevitability a few months ago, but since then we haven't heard a peep;

I don’t have an update on the Virtual Console specifically, but again, we’re looking into various possibilities with consoles and aren’t ruling anything out. Xbox Live Arcade and the Wii are two areas we’re definitely interested in exploring.

Xbox Live Arcade!?!??

Oh... The sweetness..

Even though nothing is set in stone for the Mac, VC, or XBLA, there's one very important thing we can take away from this -- Telltale's not content just leaving their masterpiece on the PC, and I can't blame them in the least.
