Everyone's favorite Canadian (sorry Jim,) and member of Sex Bob-Omb, Scott Pilgrim, is getting his very own 2D beat'em up platformer to coincide with the upcoming film release in 2010. The old-school 2D genre goes hand in hand with the nostalgia ridden video game homages found in the five Scott Pilgrim books out already. A beat'em up sounds like one of the best ways to play through Scott's many battles against angry, bitter, and sometimes vegan ex-boyfriends.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out our previous Cliff's Notes-esque rundown of why Scott Pilgrim is awesome and why the movie is pretty much going to rule my life. Now with a (hopefully 16-bit!) platformer coming our way, Scott Pilgrim is permanently setting up camp in my heart.
Ubisoft announced very little information at San Diego Comic Con, happening now. Thanks to /Film for the heads up.
