Sega Master System games coming to the Wii virtual console

As a video game collector I own or have played with just about every console ever released in the states. But the Master System has eluded me for years. Not because it's hard to find or anything but I never had one as a kid so I don't really feel any sort of nostalgic connection to it like I do the NES or Atari. Plus I wouldn't know where to start with the games, I have no clue which ones are any good. To say it never caught on in the states would be the nicest way to put it.

But it looks like the Master System may be getting it's time in the sun all these years later, because the games are headed to the Wii! This is great news for me because it will give me the chance to play a few of the titles without having to buy the old system. No word on titles or a release schedule yet, hopefully soon though.

They had one title that was basically a Zelda rip-off, and it was tons of fun. Can't remember the name of it for the life of me though. Whatev, when it comes, I'm scoring it!

No word on pricing though? boo!

Have they tapped into the Dreamcast vault yet? That would make me seriously consider buying a Wii.

Wow... Soon enough, the Wii will be able to play about any game released between 1985 and 1996, and even more! Impressive.

Forget about Dreamcast games though, those are far too big for the Wii's internal memory.
