A' Holes smash PS3; Wii

I'm not dying to get a PS3 hooked up to my tv right now. I have HD, so I can certainly take advantage of it. But looking at the lineup of games and listening to Kutaragi's bullshit day in and day out for the past few months just has me jaded towards the system. I'm sure I'll get excited as hell for the system, as soon as there's a game worth playing. Honestly it pisses me off that I'm not dying to play it.

I was talking to Greshkov just the other day when I said to him, "I blame Sony for not getting me more excited about the PS3." I'm a day one guy every time. I bought the PSP during a midnight launch for crissakes! If I want it, I buy it the day is comes out. Every Tues. I head to Best Buy to pick up whatever DVD, CD, or game coming out that week.

But even taking my current ambivilance towards the Playstation 3 these days, I have no problem calling these guys complete assholes. Nevermind the fact that you just wasted $600 bucks, but why destroy it in front of gamers. What's the point?

I post this hoping someone finds these guys and let's them know how fraked up this is.

I'm sure some Nintendo fanboy is laughing, and somewhere a Sony fanboy is crying. But I just dont get the reason for it.

[update: The Nintendo Wii smashing. Yawn.]

Yeah, there was also Smash My Xbox 360, Smash my PSP, Smash my iPod and more. This is not uncommon with new hardware =)

They claim on the site that this is an 'experiment' to see the reactions of the people. There you have it. That's their 'reason'.

Even if you're not a fan of Sony and their Playstation, how can any gamer do this????

I'll never understand how some people just get off on being mean like that

It's to prove a point. Why get so worked up over it? They spent THEIR money to buy THEIR PS3, so in what way, form, or fashion does that effect YOU? Answer: It doesn't. I know I'm coming off as cold or a "non-gamer" (and plenty of people would be shocked to see me post like this) but this does not have anything to do with you. DON'T get worked up. See it, accept it, move along.

P.S. Anyone would cry over THAT, needs to realign their priorities and get a life, 'cause gaming is way too important to them.

I don't think I was crying about it, quote the contrary. I simply asked the obvious question, WHY?

Never accused you personally of crying, just said no one should cry. Don't think anyone should care what idiots do. I understand you need to report it, so my comments were most directed toward everyone else.

P.S. That does not give YOU permission to cry.

Gotta side with kaoSFell on this. It shouldn't affect anyone as it is just a peice of hardware. I personally enjoy the Smash my XX videos cause it is something I myself would love to do heh.

I kind of try and make it a personal goal for the site to never have any flamers. All opinions are always welcomed, as long as you make a good case. Which you did with no problem.

I disagree, but see your point. We can agree to disagree?
