Somebody got Pitfall in my Ultimate Alliance!

I've been playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance all weekend and I just came across the most fantastic mini-game. If you guys haven't heard about this yet, I think the picture above says it all. You get to play about 2 minutes of Pitfall, and with the exception of the 3D-modeled Marvelites looking exactly as they do in the rest of the game, it's a picture perfect port.

Not long after, you'll also get to play a nifty variation on Breakout, get stuck in a giant Pinball Machine, and put those bumper cars skills that you picked up in Big Bumpin' last week to good use.

For the most part Marvel Ultimate Alliance is exactly what veterans of the X-Men Legends series are expecting, and that's a good thing -- but breaking up the button-mashing with a few real blasts from the past makes this game all the more sweet.

Go go gadget Activision! Now if they'd only bring Crackpots to XBLA.
