Holy shit there's some good news coming out of the Sony camp!!! Besides the fact that they didn't release Bullet Witch for the PS3... can you imagine the outrage that would've triggered??? Immersion and Sony have settled their lawsuit. Back when Immersion (the company with the patents on the rumble feature) sued all the console makers Microsoft and Nintendo settled, paid mad chedda' and put rumble in their new machines. Sony took it to court, lost, paid mad chedda' and sat in the corner sulking saying something to the effect of "Well we didn't really want it anyways." Well it seems everyone is kissing and making up, which could potentially bode well for those of us that dearly miss the rumble feature in the SIXAXIS. Said Immersion CEO Victor Viegas, "Our new business agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment is specifically intended to enable advanced vibration capability for the benefit of the PlayStation gaming community. We are happy to provide our technology in this regard and hope to make technical proposals very soon with respect to use of our technology in the PlayStation products." God I hope so. I dont give two flips what anyone at Sony says, rumble is not a last gen feature and I miss it whenever I play my PS3. Take the upcoming God of War II... I'd play it on the PS3 to get the nicer graphics but I'm gonna play it on the PS2 cause I'd rather have rumble. [GameDaily]
