Altair vs. Snake: Can you handle it?

First off, I'm very proud of that title and I think it could be the beginning of a seriously sweet video game franchise.  Just picture it: Solid Snake, Altair, Rikimaru (Tenchu series), Agent 47 (Hitman), and Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell), all fighting each other.  It'd be like Super Smash Bros., but players would have to strategize instead of randomly mashing buttons (which is the only way I can play that game).  Anyways, I digress, this isn't what I wanted to discuss (but if you're reading this Nintendo and you want to make this game a reality then I expect royalties).  Read on for my take on what could be the greatest battle since Jack Thompson versus... everyone.

When the Assassin's Creed 2 "trailer" (a hilarious April Fool's joke and a brilliant marketing idea) was released awhile back I'll admit I was one of the many people who fell for it.  A few days ago I found myself on youtube watching the video again, pondering what could have been, when I was confronted with a very interesting question.  If Altair (from Assassin's Creed) ever got into a tussle with Solid Snake (the old Snake from MGS4), who would win?

This would be a battle of epic proportions; Altair has his assassin training, hidden knives, daggers, and cat-like parkour abilities.  Snake has some serious gadgets and a bad back.  And to make it fair Snake can't be assisted by Otacon, but I'm not sure if he should be able to use guns.  On one hand it's really not fair, but on the other hand...what else does Snake have besides that stun dagger and a smoking problem?

Let me know what you think the outcome of this epic battle would be, I think I'll be betting my money on Altair.  Sorry Snake, maybe next time.

He's got CQC on his side. I think if he should have a few weapons to even things out, but they should be non lethal (i.e. tranq-gun).

Snake by a long shot. He's a genetically created supersoldier clone. Altaïr is a cocky punk who can climb.

Snake is so old, Altair's youthful cockiness would bring him to victory!

And I forgot about Jade, she'd definitely be in the game.

you really need to play the other MGS games to know how badass snake is.
snake is more experienced fighter than altair, altair is somewhat too cocky for his own good which got him in trouble in the beginning of the game in the first place. snake having more battle and war experience would definitely give him the edge snake is probably a better hand to hand fighter as well.
now when it comes to climbing buildings i think altair has the advantage but it would be a fighting game so thats useless smilies/tongue.gif
snake is pretty clever so i would have to put my money on him.

Also: Can't believe he hasn't been mentioned, but Garret from Thief series.

Altair would win. Hands down.

Altair mixes in with the crowd...what does Snake do? Hides in a cardboard box...
Altair can escape in style with throwing daggers and jumping across rooftops...Snake has to be a wuss and have a gunfight.

I could go on, but I wont...

This is awesome... I wonder if pitching it to a game development company might do anything...

It would also be cool if their respective games got intertwined somehow...

In MGS4 you can unlock a costume where you dress as Altair. I don't know if you guys know that....look it up. I'm not lying.
