The BBPS Fat Kids Challenge - Week 2

Not much to report this week. If you're a faithful reader here at the BBPS, you probably know that I, the fat pig that I am, have chosen to make some healthier choices in life that include some gaming themed workouts to bring the weight down from Dom DeLuise to Tom Arnold. The first week went off with a bang -- this one though? More like a vomit induced whimper.

That's right folks, I'm sick. And not just a little sick, but sick sick. I mentioned last week that I had been coming down with a cold. That lasted a few days and turned into what I thought was the flu. Nope. Norwalk virus. Nice, huh? And I didn't even get the Disney cruise to go along with it. When that finally passed I was still left with this damned cold! So I went to a doctor - turns out it's a sinus infection. Unfortunately (fortunately if you're my wife) I haven't been able to speak for about 5 days. My throat is completely wrecked from this damned thing. I sound like Joan Rivers after a night of giving oral treats to the cast of Shaft in Africa. Not good. Not good at all.

So why am I dumping all of my problems on you? Because I figured I owed you all an explanation for not lifting a damned finger this week to get in shape.

Despite this, I've discovered illness can be a great weight loss tool. As such, let me ring in today's numbers;

Starting Weight: 264

Last Week's Weight: 261

Current Weight: 256

Next Weeks Target: ?

Starting BMI: 36.8

Current BMI: 35.7

So not only have I lost five pounds, but I've gone down a whole BMI point! God bless my lowered immune system. No wonder Rock Hudson was so skinny.

I'll be taking it easy for much of this week as I get better, but I still think I'll be able to slide a little exercise in there. I'm mostly in the clear now. I figure another day or two and I should be able to get right back on the horse. In the meantime, if you'd like to read an article that just hit the web from someone who just pulled off a similar weight loss program (and has thus given me motivation and stolen my thunder all at once) click here.

I actually lost about 5 pounds this week myself, though I havent exercised at all on account of being sick myself.

Though I've made sure to eat nothing but stuff good for me, except the one day I went to Panera bread cause I just wanted something different.

I just read that article last night and thought of you Jimmy. Than I remembered that I've had Yourself! Fitness sitting on my shelf since the summer and haven't touched it! Go me!
