The Monday Virtual Console Update

Finally a week to get excited about! Nintendo has gotten through whatever regional/legal/etc issues that were keeping import titles off the North American Virtual Console and treated us to a two pack of rising sun goodness.

First up is DoReMi Fantasy: Milon's DokiDoki Adventure -- the SNES (and previously Japan-only) sequel to Milon's Secret Castle. The boys over at the VC Archive give it a 5 out of 5 and say it holds up a hell of a lot better than it's NES predecessor. Check out their full review here.

Our second title this week is Puyo Puyo 2: Tsuu. Originally appearing on the Genesis, it's a concept western gamers are more than familiar with. Both Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (you can read our review here) and Kirby's Avalanche are exactly the same as this. Still -- if you've never played a Puyo puzzler before, this might be a neat one to start with.

So what's the catch? These ones will set you back 900 points instead of the regular 800. I know I certainly don't mind paying a 100 point premium for some groovy import games. What say you?
