"So I was sitting at this Nascar race" is about as unlikely a start to a sentence that you'll ever hear me utter. However, that's exactly where I was this past Sunday attending my first race to spend some time with the fam. Luckily I had the Nintendo Wii car to cheer on! (There was also a Halo 3 car but it spent the 1st half of the race at the tail end and the 2nd half in the garage).

What made the race work out so well is that the Wii car finished in 2nd place, though I overheard on the radio that the 1st place driver considered letting the Wii car pass so maybe Nintendo would give him some stuff.

Hey!! One of these sponsors is not like the others!

I snapped a few pics of the car as it came around the track, which is so small feat when they're hauling ass like that. They also had a kiosk outside for people to try their hands at Wii Sports. After the great finish maybe Nintendo is looking to expand this?
