There was a Punch-Out 2?

Yes smartass, I know that Super Punch-Out for the SNES was technically the second game in the Punch-Out series. But did you know that Nintendo attempted to capitalize on the success of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out by getting a sequel out on the NES? It featured Mike Tyson taking on intergalactic contenders and was called, wait for it, Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch. I shit you not.

Guru Larry does an excellent job filling you in on all the details of this horrendous abomination of a game, why the smart folks at Nintendo cancelled it, and how it got released under a different name anyways. Come on Nintendo, you know you want to put this on the Virtual Console.

"Americans love punching stereotypes of foreigners." Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! was designed and developed in Japan, so maybe that should be the Japanese who like punching out stereotypes of foreigners.

That said, I, as an American, do love to punch stereotypes of aliens, so I believe I would have loved this game.
