This pirate ship needs more crew! (i.e. more writers)

Have you ever thought to yourself, "I'd really like to write for a video game blog but don't want being paid to get in the way"? Then have I got the non-paying job for you! I'm beginning to think about adding on a few new writers here, and while this isn't an official call-to-arms I wanted to put this out there in case any of our readers think they've got what it takes to join our pirate crew.

So here's the break-down....

  1. There's no pay (sorry), unless we hit it big!

  2. We do get review copies of some games that I give out to the writers

  3. Access to trade shows as press if you're nearby or want to travel

  4. Having your writing seen by thousands of people a day!

  5. Have the ability to post routinely and possibly on weekends

  6. Preferably wordpress savvy

I'm kicking around the idea of doing some comic book/action figure type coverage on weekends as well, so if that's your bag let me know. Still interested? This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

I'd totally be all over this, except for two things:

1. I'm not a writer
2. I'm a ninja (more important than #1)

We gladly accept Ninja's so long as they know their rightful place

Their rightful place being well above the pirates, but letting the jolly jackasses think they're in charge.

Oh and I'm not a write either, I'm also a ninja.

I'd be all over this like white on rice if I could find something that held my attention longer than 5 minutes. I honestly haven't booted up my 360 in about 3 months because those asshats from Blizzard still have their meathooks in me with WoW.

Stupid game.

(It's also true that I haven't seen anything that's piqued my interest in the console world in quite some time. If I play another FPS-type game ever again, I may just toss my 360 into the Pacific.)

Oh, and Yes, I am a pirate. Two Hundred years too late.

I just have a feeling that the RIAA and MPAA are twitching with all the mentions of Pirates.

Sorry, I only write for Penthouse Letters. All of my stories begin with, "I wasn't that popular in high school...", "Mandy and I were just friends growing up...", or "I never thought anything like this would ever happen to me..."

If I ship you a box, can you toss it in said box instead? I had to send mine in for repair, and I think I might get it back sometime in 2011.

If it's the original Microsoft box, the box will break.

@ Xerxes3rd: Sorry, but I'm still waiting for the October release of GTA IV.

(What? Stop looking at me like that. It's November, you say? Pshaw! You and your outdated calendars!)

When/Is there a deadline on when to send stuff in?

No deadline, send away!

@hershey3971: I think the "October release" of GTA IV refers to the month of October in the same year I will get my 360 back from Microsoft.
