This Week in Rock (Band downloadable content)

This will be the last entry for This Week in Rock. Why, you ask? Because Harmonix is now announcing the tracks on the Friday before instead of the Monday, though the days they're available will be the same (Tues for 360, Thurs for PSN). So from now on this posting will appear on Fridays and will be called "Next Week in Rock." So when another site pops up with the same exact name for the post you'll know where they got it.

This week features a bit of a departure from the usual Rock Band announcement, as we get 6 full songs to enjoy. Of course they're all Grateful Dead songs, so if you're not a dead-head there's nothing really interesting here for ya. Me? I'll be passing, I don't know a single Dead song.

Grateful Dead pack (800 MS points / $9.99) (All master tracks)

  • China Cat Sunflower (160 MS points/ $2)

  • Casey Jones (160 MS points/ $2)

  • Sugar Magnolia (160 MS Points / $2)

  • Truckin' (160 MS Points / $2)

  • Franklin's Tower (160 MS Points / $2)

  • I Need A Miracle (160 MS Points / $2)

Truckin's definitely a good time. I think I'll be picking that up. Not too sure on what else until I watch the videos above. smilies/wink.gif

I'd probably get the whole package, but I'd probably be playing them by myself.

I'm not sure, but I suspect a Venn diagram of Deadheads and Rock Band owners would not have a large intersection - the number of downloads this week will be a good indication (though Harmonix probably doesn't release this type of information). I'll probably pass on these unless I hear a good one from watching the videos.
