Tim Schafer is a genius. There aren't a lot of developers we'd say that about, but seriously, the dude created some of the greatest adventure games of all time. Grim Fandango. Day of the Tentacle. Monkey Island. His work is friggin' epic. But even epic developers had to get their start somewhere..
Tim just celebrated his 20th year in the games industry. As part of that celebration, he's posted up the application he submitted to Lucasfilm oh so many years ago that got him his start in the industry. It's not just any old application though -- it's a graphical text adventure!
Click here to check out the full application, as well as a myriad of rejection letters and a terrific little story about his job hunt.
Speaking of job apps, we're still looking for a few good men (or women. No fat chicks.)
Want more Tim Schaefer goodness? His latest game Brutal Legend comes out on October 13th. In conjuction with the demo release on October 1st, the team at Double Fine will be doing a live video webcast Q&A fir the fans and will be answering Q&A's from their twitter. Make sure to check it out this Thursday at noon Pacific on brutallegend.com.
