Time Capsule Thursday: Stained Glass Window

Back when we started the site we used to spend alot of time talking about the older retro stuff. Atari, Coleco and the like. We still do but not as much as I’d like. So Thursdays we're gonna look back at the times of old (70-80’s). If you’re getting your driver’s license this year you might not remember any of this, but maybe you’ll learn something!

digduggood.jpgOddly enough, this isn't the 1st video game themed stained glass window we've had here on the site. But this one is infinitely cooler.

An ode to a bygone era, a day when arcades ruled the day and the arcade machine was a beast that gobbled both quarters and time. An ode to a man armed with a pump and some dragons to kill. I speak of the one and only Dig-Dug.

And here it is, the vaunted Dig-Dug arcade cabinet immortalized forever in stained glass.

I sincerly hope this is a part of a truly kick ass game room. Seriously can you imagine it? I'd have a matching window with another machine facing the other way, probably Centipede or Missle Command.

Arcade machines along one wall, pinball on the other. All framing a sweet HD set-up so we can gather on the huge sectional and play all the newest hits. Oh yea, and no lights.... classic arcade style. The lights of the machines is all we'll need.

Oh yea baby, I've got big plans for my next house when I finally buy it. It'll be the greatest thing ever.
