This afternoon I was lucky enough to find myself in possession of an early peek at the upcoming Uncharted 2 multiplayer demo. And while the gameplay is rock solid (the beta earlier this year pretty much confirmed that) what reakky blew me away was an extra little menu tucked away in the Options. An extra little menu labelled "Twitter." Hit the jump for more pics and the few details we could gleem from them;

As you can see from the image above, the hook up to Twitter doesn't appear to be live yet. Either that or the internet hates me and must have me destroyed. Regardless, we weren't able to get it working just yet. (UPDATE: Turns out it's option 2 -- the internet hates me and must have me destroyed. We've had several reports come in now of this function working for others! :)
The Twitter options page claims it will "Tweet your progresses as you play," but what does that really mean? Clicking on the "Events" menu gives us a pretty decent glimpse;

The six options you see here are the only six that were available on this screen in the demo. Whether or not we'll see more in the full version is anybody's guess. Considering some of these clearly apply to the single player campaign (When a Chapter is Complete, When Reaching a Level Milestone), I'd be surprised if there ended up being more. Then again, a lot can happen before launch (and lord knows they can always patch it after.)
So there you have it! Twitter integration in Uncharted 2. I don't know about you, but I love the idea of telling my friends when I'm hopping into a multiplayer match. What say you?
