Watch me pull a new Pinball FX table out of my hat

Pinball FX was one of my favorite XBLA games from last year. Nice and simple, but with some really creative tables and damn good physics. It all really wrapped together nicely and provided a damn good value.

There's been a few additions over the ensuing months as well in the form of downloadable content. So far there's been a Pirate-themed table and a Haunted Mansion. Well now they're branching into licensed tables... calling up the classic duo or Rocky and Bullwinkle!

Luckily this is based on the cartoon, and not the shit-tastic movie from a few years back...

So far all of these extra tables have cost $2.50, though the pirate one is now free... so my guess is that eventually this one will be on the house...

Been a huge fan of Pro-Pinball for years, even went so far as to add extra buttons on the sides of my MAME cabinet so I could have a slightly more realistic experience. Moved onto XBox live about a year ago, surprised I never gave this one a look.

If you like pinball and never played this one, definitely try it out. It's weird that three of us here (Dan, Jim and myself) love video game pinball so much.

It's funny you say that, because I hadn't picked this one up either. I couldn't really get used to the camera and I hated using the triggers for flippers. Luckily, I decided to give it another try last night and discovered I could change both (bumpers rule for flippers btw). I'm hooked. Haven't downloaded the two pay-for-play tables yet, but I'm sure I will be. Bucaneer roxxors my soxxors.
