What'cha Playing... Friday!: Monday at 12:01am Edition

I don't have a cat, allergic, but if I did I think this scenario would ring true until...oh I don't know, Monday at 12:01am when I grab my copy of Halo 3!

Since I beat BioShock, got the bad ending; which was quite good actually, I haven't powered the Xbox 360 to do much else. Although I'm in love with the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare beta, I find it hard to play when I realized my game time surpassed a full 24 hours and decided that the post-beta stat reset would crush my soul!

Due to technical difficulties you weren't able to hear Jimbo point-n-laugh at me for picking up PixelJunk Racers on the PSN, but I actually enjoy it and have been playing that from time to time.

After BBPS-Head and regular forum-ite Guruthos kick started a BBPS Steam Community group (REQUEST MEMBERSHIP IN HERE!) I decided to go through my extensive Steam Collection and finish off the amazing Half-Life 2: Episode One. While I fully planned on picking up the Xbox 360 release of The Orange Box this October, the pop-ups teasing me that Guruthos and Kevin were already playing Team Fortress 2 (the beta that is) quickly made me change my mind and pre-purchased it for PC via Valve's online service.

I fully expect the Team Fortress 2 beta to chew up my time this weekend!

It's strange to think that Halo 3 is a mere three-ish days away, while I assume some of you will pick it up, what have you been playing lately?

Yes I will also be playing some Halo 3, currently I am playing Bioshock again for the third time on Hard difficulty. I am still finding new areas in the game that I have overlooked the first two times playing it. I also picked up Prey for 360 for $7 at kmart. Along with lots of DS.

Oh! I'm still all over Carcassone! And Space Giraffesmilies/smiley.gif

Been playing some WoW again lately as well, trying to decide whether or not the Battlegrounds are worthwhile.

Daxter and Dead Head Fred on the PSP, and Heavenly Sword (for about 6 hours total, it's a short one)

@Faith - I poo'd snakes once. Never eating Vietnamese again.

Was really into Super Paper Mario for the first half of the week, but the hour long RPG wandering between levels really grated on me. I've rented Skate which I'll be playing later today, and totally dug Loco Roco PS3 (review to be posted in about an hour!).

Asides from that, got my ass handed to me in Carcassone by Danny boy (in my defense, it was my second day with it and I was dealing with an infant at the same time). I think we need to get a 4player game going.

I'll be the fourth for Carcassone then, I need to revisit that title.

I'll go into more depth when we record the podcast tomorrow but I've been heavily involved with Burnout: Dominator (I'll reveal which version on the show) and Team Fortress 2.

I've haven't really played much this week. Played Pokemond Diamond a bit, helping a good friend fill out her Sinnoh Dex.

I'm about to start MySims, though, once I finish typing up this post. I'll give you guys a writeup later tonight, maybe. smilies/smiley.gif

Thank goodness for Steam folks!

Peggle is surprisingly fun. Fucking PopCap! It's like their main ingredient in their code is Mr. Brownstone.

Think Plinko, but with more aiming control and way more rainbows.

Skate. Skate. Skate.

Also, LocoRoco Cocoreccho. But mainly Skate.

Oh, and I've got Heavenly Sword and Amplitude from Gamefly. And I imported Ouendan 2.

But, still. Skate.

Yeah, Peggle is awesome - has the ability to keep you glued to the monitor for hours. I beat it in one sitting not because I was really good (because I'm not), but because I could not stop. That and a bit of TF2 and CS is all I have been playing recently.

Shouldn't "Jimbo point-n-laugh" be "Nelson point-n-laugh"?

I don't know if you're being serious but I meant our own Jim Squires pointing and laughing at me. Didn't mean it as a Simpsons reference!
