What'cha Playing <s>Wednesday</s> Friday!

Hellz Yeah!

Man alive! The fall is here and that usually means that the surplus of highly anticipated games are starting to flood the shelves. Here we are, less than two weeks after Halo 3 hit shelves and I'm knee-deep in Valve's Orange Box. I feel pretty justified saying that this is the greatest value in the history of video games. There isn't a single stinker in the whole pack and if you haven't bought it yet...well, you're just stupid is all.

As you can tell by the picture, Dan's in Chicago at a friend's wedding. Lucky bastard. I went there back in May and had a great time in what turned out to be my favorite American city that I've visited so far (Philly will always be my true favorite, being all ten minutes away and what not). There was just something chill about the place, I think it's the big silver bean (that's me in the Bob Marley shirt).

Anyways...what'cha playing?

Portal at home (saving Episode Two for the weekend) and some PS3 and PSP games at a Sony Press Event.

That's been pretty much everything.

Busy week, no time to game!

Portal is the bomb. Id say it's short but the game just does evrything too well to complain. And the ending is incredible. In the running for my game of the year.

Still Halo for me, I am one achievement away for 1000 points. I also plan to get the Orange Box this weekend.

Since I never played Half Life, I picked up the Orange Box on 360. After playin Halo for the past 2 weeks, I have to say that Bungie did a better job with the controls than Valve on the console. I'm sure it feels way better on PC which makes me feel left out.

Hooked on Everyday Shooter and Portal. It's short-game bliss over here right now.

Also, played a bit of this on Wednesday: http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3163628

@ Xav No Language setting trick here but not totally legit either. Some of those achievements are pretty damn hard to get. I did do most of the on the up and up.

At the Sony event in Toronto I got some hands-on time with a few upcoming gems.

You can find my ARMY OF TWO and DARK SECTOR hands-on online now.

Also got some face time with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Eye of Judgement, Rock Band, God Of War: Chains of Olympus, Haze and a few others.

More write ups next week.

I ended up picking up orange box. Portal is a lot of fun. I figured TF2 would be a good way of mixing up the deathmatch I get from Halo3. And I totally think we need a BBPS TF2 night smilies/tongue.gif
