What'cha Playing Wednesday: You're Kidding Right? Edition

MY NAME IS JOHN!

Insane isn't it? Halo 3 has hit the world like a spartan laser blast.

Now we can finish the fight and end this marketing blitz!

Yesterday was one of biggest for this young industry with its release.

Other industries have surpassed the 2004 sequel, but Chief is back.

Understating the importance of Halo to this industry isn't possible.

Reviews call it one of the years best & sales have been strong.

Forget the media campaign has gone above and beyond conventions,

And overlook Halo 3's flaws.

Could Halo be the opus that will shine mainstream light on gaming?

Examples like Wii show gaming is getting better press as of late.

Just about everyone and their mom knows about Wii,

Is Halo hooking soccer Moms? No, but the Xbox icon is mainstream.

MGS4 & Killzone might be Halo killers, but are they mainstream icons?

Now this post might seem strange, and it was oddly written... but it was the only way I could respond to Jimmy's Halo apology by hiding a subtle message within the above. Fact is Halo 3 is great so far and that is about all I'm playing - but who cares about me... what the heck have you been playing people?

Oh, Halo 3? Me too! How 'bout that.

Halo, and more halo, and some Guitar Hero thrown in for good measure.

@Dan - I have a friend who picked it up and loves it. The actual gameplay is supposedly very Mario-ish (or so she says).

There is alot of Mario-ish running and jumping ontop of heads, but you also get a snowball shooter, which you can use to kill enemies. I like the game, it does get alittle tedious when you have to draw 5 different kinds of clouds and 5 different kinds of platforms, when you just want to go through the level and try and collect stuff, but it is fun to play even thought I cant draw worth shit. My clouds look like a corn infested turd. I would say pick it up if you are a good drawer, but if you suck at drawing like myself, read a couple of reviews, and then decide.

Halo 3 and a little Bomberman here and there. Oh, and some Picross before bed, usually.

@ranger5000: Rush 2049 was such an awesome game. There's a games collection for Xbox 1 which has a pretty darn good port of it. I think it was a Midway Arcade Collection 3, or something to that effect, but the Rush 2049 port on it is the DC version, not the Arcade version.

I saw a dozen friggin' people on my Live buddylist last night (twice the highest total I've seen previously) and all of them were playing Halo 3. All of them.

But I played Skate, lulz.

I'm playing

Ninjabread Man on Wii
and
Two Worlds on 360

oh and Worms 2 on DS

As far as Drawn To Life is concerned, if you could pick it up for $10, its worth it just for drawing your own hero.
