Dan Zuccarelli (NetPhantom)

- Editor-in-chief / Writer - I’m 30 and have been playing video games since I was about 3, when my parents bought me an Atari 2600. I was hooked and have gotten nearly every system out since. When my parents bought me a Nintendo Entertainment System (with R.O.B. the robot!) it was official. I was a gamer for life. As video games have gotten older, it seems the level of conversation has gotten worse. I truly believe there’s a space on the net for us, the gamers that’ve grown up with the games, those of us that were there at the beginning. We're going to cover it all, from Pong to Playstation, A to Z. The important and mundane.

- Forum Manager / Writer - Everyone has his or her “If I Won The Lottery” plan. Many people say they would keep working because “they would get bored”. As a 29 year-old who has had a job steadily since he was 16 I can safely and confidently tell you: I am not one of those people. There is no deep desire in me to have a job other than the fact that I need one so that I can continue to not live on the street.

As for gaming, an Atari 2600 came to me when I was 6 that was replaced by a Nintendo when I was 11. There was a long ass break inbetween my NES and my Playstation (which I didn't get until around 2000 or so) and then came Halo, reigniting my passion for games. Currently, I have a PS2, Gamecube, PC, Nintendo DS and the Xbox 360 that all get neglected on a regular basis. I’m about as hardcore a gamer as my life permits.

- Writer - I may be the toughest critic here at BBPS. I'm very picky about the games I'll even play, let alone buy. I don't like most arcade style games, I can't stand games that try to scare you, and I generally prefer games that are sim oriented and/or story driven. In this day and age, even 3DO games look good, so graphics don't concern me. It's all about game play, story, and fun, so If a game doesn't have one of the three, I will look down on it.

I've been gaming for about twenty one years now, with a drought occuring during the PSOne era (i owned a saturn, and refused to buy a Playstation because it killed my system). Back with vengence with the launch of the dreamcast, I got more than my fair share of gaming in thanks to an employee discount. I managed a video game retailer (they don't like it when ex-employees name them) for the launch of Playstation 2, Xbox, Gamecube and Gameboy Advance, so I know a few more details than the average Joe about each system and their flaws (hardware).

My goal is to give you a no B.S. review of the games I play. Because of the above mentioned "pickiness" I may have fewer games reviewed, but I intend to make up the difference by giving you a detailed write up of my experience with the game. Even now and again I will publish an editorial because I'm a guy that likes to complain, and there's plenty to complain about in the world of video games. So stop reading this and go read the important stuff on this site!
