I love that Nintendo decided to pack-in a game, but why not put it in a proper case?? I gotta admit I was a little bummed opening my Wii system up to find that the Wii Sports disc was housed in the same kind of package usually reserved for AOL demo discs.

Well The Cover Project, a site we profiled a few weeks back for their quest to provide case art for all your old games, are back with a vengence. They've got available for download case art for the game-in-a-slipcase "Wii Sports". What this means is that we can now let the game take it's proper place among or other games on the shelf, and not be relegated to lying on it's side or "blending in so no-one can see it" status.

4 Color Rebellion has a great solution for the white Wii case problem as well. Either buy them from Nintendo direct or just head down to target and but a few of those 1 cent preview DVD's they're selling.

Nintendo pulled this same stunt with the Mario Kart DS Bundle pack that I had bought. The game came in a folding cardboard sleeve. Totally weak dude, weak. I actually remember downloading a cover for my copy of Evil Dead II that I bought in the special tin. It came in some kind of completely plain case.

Another suggestion for scoring a white case - some kids were hitting up my local EB the other day for the empty display cases for this very reason, and they gave them out. You might want to try the same! smilies/smiley.gif

I'm getting a Wii for Christmas and when I found out that Wii Sports didn't come with a case I was pretty upset because I like all of my games to have cases with covers so I can set them on my shelf. So thank you for posting this so I can have a cover for Wii Sports! smilies/smiley.gif
