Wii Want Cricket!!!

238.jpgNintendo asked, and these Aussie's have answered the call! And they want their cricket dammit!

Now I love the niche sports. Despite living in the US, my favorite sports are soccer and curling. Really. Course I only get to watch curling every 4 years and I pay for a special channel just to watch soccer. But as much as I try, again and again I'm completely and utterly confused by cricket.

Which sucks to high heaven cause I'd love to just start talking cricket to someone that has no idea what I'm talking about. And be able to say things like, "and then he got himself stuck in somewhat of a sticky wicket!" with a straight face.

Where the hell was I??? Oh yea, Wii Cricket.

So these guys are trying like hell to get some support for a Wii cricket game, so what the hell... we'll throw our support up! In fact I'm gonna run their banner on the site here! Check it out, bottom of the page.

Just so you know, there's been quite a few cricket games released outside the states before. If they want to get cricket popular in the states, they oughta start showing more pictures like the one above. Word Cotton!

Hit the jump to check out the teaser video for their site.

I think it could be easily done if they modified the Basball engine for Wii sports.
