Now that you've had a week to let all the singing, dancing, yelling, and down right silliness stop giving you nightmares, Part II of the most WTF Nintendo Commercials is here to cause you even less sleep. Like all great sequels, we travel to the future, buy a sports almanac, and go back to 1985, only to find out we've created an alternate timeline where Biff is our stepfather, George McFly is dead and....oh wait, that's a different Part II.
Click here if you missed Part I, and hit the jump to see what Nintendo has conjured up this time. What's the matter? You chicken? The Legend of Zelda: Arthouse Style: What do you get when you cross that weird kid in high school who was really into being on the Forensics team and an old Calvin Klein’s Obsession ad? This mess.
You Cannot Beat Us: Someone at Nintendo Australia liked Dire Straits a little too much, but at least the slogan is foreshadowing. Even with all the waggle mashing and Dancing With The Stars games, the Wii is still crazy popular. We cannot beat them.
Life's A Game: I get this one, I still just think it sucks. It says “See all the things you can do inside this cube? Isn’t it cool?” Sort of. But “Life’s A Game?” Really? That’s the best they could come up with? How about “Think Inside The Box.” Genius. Someone get me a time machine. There’s a marketing job waiting for me 8 years ago.
SNES Ultimate Challenge: So if playing the SNES turns you into a robot, why the hell aren’t I a robot yet!?
Killer Instinct Curses: The Genesis may have done what Nintendidn’t, but Nintendo, and I quote, “fucked the arcade.” Whoa.
Tetrisized: Weird seeing the World Trade Center buildings get Tetrisized. Too soon?
Virtual Boy: The Virtual Boy not only gave you headaches, it also hunted you, kidnapped you, and forced you to play Teleroboxer. Maybe the screen was just red because of all the blood.
MarioPaint....for adults?: I don’t see the problem with this cute Japanese Mario Paint ad featuring Yoshi singing and ......wait a second, was that anime porn?!?!
