Wipeout coming to PS3

Well Sony you slick dog, you've done it again. I swore to myself (and my wife) that I wouldn't buy a PS3 until there were at least six exclusive titles that I was really excited about. First it was Motorstorm, and now this. That's two Sony - you've still got four to go before you suck the cash out of my skinny wallet.

Wipeout Pure was easily the best launch title on the PSP, and if I had to pick a favorite racer on any platform I'm pretty sure this would be it -- so needless to say, I'm pumped. Clemens Wangerin, director of Sony Liverpool, confirmed that a PS3 version of Wipeout was on the way in a recent interview with Develop magazine. Is anyone else as excited as I am, or is this just crazy fanboy elation I'm going through?

Now here's a title I can get excited about!

As long as it's more like Wipeout XL than Wipeout 3
