When Microsoft first announced that the Xbox Live Vision Camera would be able to put your face in a game, I was pretty skeptical. After all, how good could the face capture technology on $39 webcam really be? Pretty damn good, it would seem.

Above is a picture of Xbox Live guru Major Nelson. Beside it is a picture of his in-game face capture in Rainbow Six Vegas. Not too shabby. huh? The camera even took his outfit into account - according to Nelson, the hat and glasses are his. If any of you have the Live Vision Camera and a copy of Rainbow Six Vegas, give it a try and let us know how it goes.

this is almost cool enough for me to buy that pointless camera. it is good to see that there is a use, other than creeping people on on xbox live, for the camera though...

Is it just me? I can never decide if Major Nelson is a real gamer giving us behind the scenes stuff, or just an elaborate marketing gimmick and he's just the tool.

I mean I like his stuff, but.......
