I imagine the conversation went something like this.PR guy: Alright, we've got this huge billboard to promote our High Definition plasma. It's got like lights and everything! We need some outside-the-box / dynamic / extreme graphics and pictures to show how cool our products are! Paradigm Shift! Buzzword! Ad guy: How bout a videogame? I hear my son talking about this Legend of something or other on his Nintendo... Voice of Reason: Nintendo isn't HD, you'll be trying to show off a HD television using a 480p picture. PR guy: What the hell does 480p mean? Ad guy: I'm sure no one can tell the difference. Who'd notice? Voice of Reason: I can promise people will notice. But since you never listen to me, go ahead. Just know that you PR guys have no idea what you're talking about. Ever. And out of that meeting, this billboard was born.
