I'm going to put this right out there to start this whole thing off, this isn't a game. It's a bunch of tiny tests for how the Wiimote can be used to control what's on the screen, which was then turned into a game. Not that I'm complaining, because it's fun, I'm just saying. If you want to see just about everyway the Wiimote can and will be used, look no further than Rayman Raving Rabbids.
Though I will say, for a proof-of-concept turned game, it's pretty hard to put down. There's alot of Rayman humor to be had, and I never get tired of the Rabbids scream.
There's something for everyone. The game is 90% accessible for the little kids, but there's a few games that will test the patience of even the most seasoned adult gamer. So if you're buying this for the kiddies, just know you're gonna have to help them out here and there.
There's a wide variety of mini-games here. Whack-a-mole, flying, rhythm, jump rope, hog racing, shooting gallery, memory, soccer, etc. There's one especially tiring one where you have to fill the rabbid's goggles with carrot juice from a oceanside bar. You aim with the wiimote and "pump" the juice with the nunchuck, like you're working a keg. Another has you slamming closed bathroom doors (which keep opening) while the rabbids are inside.
The game uses both the wii-mote and nunchuck is innovative and interesting ways. Luckily each game is introduced by a tiny "how-to" complete with a rabbid showing you how to hold the controller.
It's not exceptionally deep, and a focused player game beat the game in about 5 hours. But like Wario Ware, beating it really isn't the point. It's a party game, something you can get your non-game playing friends to try out. And until Wario Ware is released, this is the best one of those games going (besides Wii Sports).
I'd recommend it (at least until Wario Ware: Smooth Moves is out)

But while I loved the single player, I've found the multiplayer really lacking. Going through and cherry picking the minigames you want to play should be an option, not the main core of the multi.
There's no reason the multiplayer couldn't have been a little more structured. Hooray for single player, Boo for multiplayer. Ubisoft, you're on the list.
