It's our last regular crew show of the year and we're sending you out in style. All four of us regulars are on for the festivities so make sure you get settled in for the long haul, this show is almost twice as long as usual.
This week we were excited to invite a couple of loyal readers, friends and guild mates on to the show: Scott "Xerxes3rd" Rising and Tim "Swiftwulf" Conway! With the launch of the recent World Of Warcraft expansion we thought now would be a good time (ahem, tim) to bring them on and have a chat about our favorite MMO. Big thanks go out to them for taking the time to be on the show!
This week we geek out on:
WoW
World Of Warcraft
A very popular MMO
A Couple Of Notes:
We had some last minute technical difficulties and we had to record the show in a way that yielded a lower quality than we usually provide to everyone. Our apologies on that front.
Kev's leaving for Chicago for a week of R&R but we managed to find a little time to get together to bang out another home run podcast (at least our mothers think so).
Stay tuned after the music. It's like that little bonus after the credits of a movie! Dan signs up for the WoW Visa card and we talk about the highs and lows (mostly lows) of LARPing.
We're neck-deep in all the big AAA fall releases and decided to dedicate our entire show to the different ones that we've been spending time with. Luckily it works out that the three of us in the show this week have each spent a significant amount of time with different titles so there's lots to talk about.
Today's show comes to you from the topsy turvy world of Rand McNally, where they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people. What's so strange about this week you might ask? Well for one, our show is co-hosted by our own Jim Squires and Mike "The Birdman" Dodd, of This Week in Geek fame. For another, the audio isn't up to it's normal stellar quality. Mike sounds awesome and Jim sound like he's being recorded through Skype. Oddly enough, he was. Go figure.
A proud moment for the site this week, we've officially been accused of hating on the 360. So it's a complete trifecta, we've now been told we're being fanboyish against all 3 consoles. So how do we try to alleviate the 360 hating rumors? We get Ryan "I don't pay for Xbox Live" Hewson and Dan "Fuck Avatars" Zuccarelli together to talk about the Resistance 2 beta, LittleBigPlanet's delay and even manage to work some NXE hating into the mix.... even carrying over a Skype dropout at the end. Ahh, hate..... you keep our insides warm.
We know you guys seem to trust us for some reason and we've never been able to understand why. We know the reasons you shouldn't and since we love you so much we decide to share them with you. So get in, get buckled and hold on, you're in for a bumpy ride!
This week we take off on a topic that's been desperately needing our attention. Luckily we have readers like Xerxes3rd who are around to remind us of this fact! If you have any ideas for topics you'd like to hear us discuss/argue/gush about then feel free to drop us a line whenever you want.
Feeling way too patriotic this week I decide to abandon Dan on the show and leave him to deal with our Canadian brethren. Besides, some dude killed my father so I must go hunt him down, deliver my well rehearsed speech and shove my sword into his testicle.
If anyone sees a dude with six fingers on one hand, let me know.
Things have been busy around here these days but luckily Dan and Jimmy seem to care more about you guys than the rest of us. They care so much that they broke their normal Tuesday night routine of web cam chat dance-offs to sit down and record a new episode.
