Taiko DS Songs Unveiled |

Ok, so this news is a couple of weeks old — but we’re still reeling in the awesomeness that is teeny tiny stylus-like drumsticks, so can you blame us for being a little late to the party on the songs?
Since it’s an import, chances are you won’t recognize many of the titles at first glance. If you’re a fan of anime though (or for that matter, classic Nintendo), there’s a pretty good chance you’re going to find something you’ve heard of. Besides — if you ask me, not knowing the songs on any of these j-pop import games is half the fun! You can get turned on to all sorts of cool music that way.
Enough rambling.. On with the list;
- Sakuranbo (J-POP) (Popularized by Otsuka Ai)
- Kibun Joujou (J-POP) (Popularized by mihimaru GT)
- Natsu Matsuri (J-POP) (Popularized by whiteberry)
- Ketsu no Asa ni (Movie “Brave Story†Theme Song) (popularized by Aqua Timez)
- WON’T BE LONG (J-POP) (Popularized by EXILE x Koda Kumi)
- Mataaimashou (J-POP) (Popularized by SEAMO)
- DANCE2 feat. Soysauce (Glico “Pocky Chocolate†CM Song) (Popularized by ORANGE RANGE)
- Anpanman no March (â€Sore Ike! Anpanmanâ€)
- Mei Tantei Conan Main Theme (Anime Movie “Mei Tantei Conanâ€)
- Doraemon no Uta (Opening / Doraemon)
- Pretty Cure 5, Smile gogo! (Yes! Pretty Cure 5)
- Juuken Sentai Gekiranger (Opening “Juuken Sentai Gekirangerâ€)
- Together (â€Pokemon Diamond Pearl†Opening Theme)
- Touch (Anime)
- Tarako Tarako Tarako (Kewpie Tarako Cod Roe Pasta Sauce CM Official Song) (Popularized by Kigurumi)
- Mori no Kuma-san (Nursery Rhyme & Folk Song)
- Classic Wedding Melody Hen (Classic)
- Super Mario Brothers (Game Music)
Highlights for me? Beyond the obvious answer of the SMB theme, I’m uber-excited about both getting to hear another Orange Range tune (their “Shanghai Honey” is in Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan) and discovering what the “Kewpie Tarako Cod Roe Pasta CM Official Song” could possibly sound like.
I’ve already pre-ordered my copy from an unnamed import site. Have you?

As much as I LOVED the PS2 Taiko, if this is the only version that will be out I’m gonna have to pass. J-Pop is completely unlistenable to me.
