[...] One of the amazing stories to come out of X07 Canada is that of David Hu (shown below on the right, beside David Flook), a grade 10 student from Toronto who created a cool XNA game called WarPong. His story has spread throughout the blogosphere including prominent magazines such as Wired, Blog New Channel, and others. Here are other great links about David and his game:http://blog.wired.com/games/2007/08/10th-grader-cre.html http://www.destructoid.com/ultimate-bragging-rights-10th-grader-uses-xna-to-make-a-game-demos-at-x07-41285.phtml http://www.siliconera.com/2007/08/29/x07-warpong-built-by-10th-grader-on-xna/ http://www.aeropause.com/archives/2007/08/new_war_pong_ga.php http://www.progamenews.com/?p=13146 http://www.chemicalpoet.com/?p=1182 The really inspiring part of this story is that it shows that there is a really talented pool of young developers like David that are coming out of Canadian high schools, colleges and universities that are going to be part of our marketplace, and our prospects in the future looks really bright! Do you want to help young Canadian students achieve success like David? If you are a parent with kids at school or you are a student, go out to your teachers and tell them about XNA. Visit our DevelopMental Game Camp to download or order a free DVD filled with XNA code, slides and other goodness. And finally, contact us to let us know what you are up to - we’ll respond to every email and try to help you to the best of our abilities.
I'm not surprised. Watching my own sons and daughter I can see they could do anything they set their minds to accomplish! (They live in a place with Universal Concealed Carry - and street crime and school shootings are thus basically nonexistant - so they would probably have quick-draw paddles!)

For the record, the game goes up to 21 points and David was beating me 20-9 when I made a sweet comeback only to finally lose 21-20!

Great game and David was one hell of a cool kat.
