Just a friendly reminder that King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters — the documentary chronicling Steve Wiebe’s attempt to unseat Billy Mitchell as the world Donkey Kong champ — will be released on DVD today. I had a chance to check this out last week, and it’s easily one of my top ten flicks of 2007.
Even though it’s a documentary, the whole thing unfolds like some amazingly plotted underdog story. Plus, Billy Mitchell is a bigger villain than Adolf Hitler and Captain Hook combined. This thing is currently sitting at 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
You can pick up King of Kong on amazon.com for only $19.99. Do it! Do it now!
