Finally another wicked videogame song to add to my iPod list! Following in the footsteps of bands like Breaking Benjamin, Korn has released a new single, Haze, which was inspired by Ubisoft’s upcoming game release, Haze. The song is now available to download via online music sites like iTunes and can also be found on Korn’s new untitled album in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
To celebrate the release of their single, Ubisoft has released this cool video featuring live footage of Korn performing the song mixed with footage from the game, Haze. Check it out!

That was a really really REALLY bad song if you ask me. There was no melody whatsoever, it sounded like monkeys smacking instruments around for a few minutes. I’m all for bands writing songs based on games but that was just bad.

Um, paycheque. At least I hope to GOD it was a fat paycheque and not somebody’s notion of “a good idea”.
However if I get to shoot Korn in the face in Haze then maybe that’s alright.
Seriously, I have a hard time thinking this was Free Radical’s call and not UbiSoft Marketing.

You know, it is bad when you think back fondly upon the factoid that The Cardigans named one of their albums “Gran Turismo” because they dug that game so much (and they eventually did get a paycheck for that because of the placement of “My Favorite Game” in the opener of GT2).
