How-to replace your old SNES cart batteries |

As time goes one this is going to be more and more of an issue for collectors and those of us out there that like playing the old games. Any carts that let you save the game on it was powered by a battery, whose lifespan is now more than likely way past expectations. So sooner or later you’re gonna have to replace that battery.
Luckily the guys from JJGames.com made a little video showing off the process and it’s not too terrifying.

I hope I’m not the only person enamoured with the fact that he chose Earthbound to perform this modification on.
Such a good game . . .

I recently bought an unopened copy of Pokemon Gold which had a flat battery, but rather than do it myself, I sent it off to Nintendo for them to replace it. They’d probably replace the battery in SNES games too.
