Really Kojima? Really? Everytime you do a Metal Gear Solid title, it’s going to be the last one. Somehow with 4, I actually believed it. Now comes this;
It’ll be hard not being involved in MGS5, but I’ve got the utmost confidence that Hideo Kojima, Ken Imaizumi, and our amazing team will put together another blockbuster game. I’ll be cheering from the sidelines.
That’s a quote from a Kotaku interview with Ryan Payton, MGS4’s Assistant Producer who has just left Kojima Productions. Sigh. When will it end, Hideo? When will it end?
I’d probably consider this about as official as unoffical confirmation can get. So what do you think it will be — a prequel? Maybe a new person taking up the Solid mantle? Something practically Snake-less a la MGS2?
Whatever it is I’m sure I’ll be sucker enough to buy it.
