Remember that dateless firmware update that was announced a few days ago? I just booted up my PS3. It’s live. That is all.

It does some good stuff. Scene Search for videos is awesome. Auto power-off for controllers is late but welcome. Also it’ll download and install, then shut down the console if you like.
But mostly FLASH PLAYER 9 support!… which no one expected.
Also some extra doodads in trophies, and a “last logged in” field for Friends list people so you can boot those laggards who haven’t been on in a month.
