Fable II - Are You In Albion? |

One of the fall’s biggest releases dropped yesterday, a week before another prominent RPG hits. I had thought about passing this one over for now in favor of that other big RPG release but the draw down the path of evil was too great for me to resist…as usual.
I LOVED the original Fable game and after spending about 45 minutes with II this morning (and finishing the youngster portion of my nameless hero’s journey) it seems like this is a more polished version of the first game…so far, of course. The opening pre-rendered cut scene is absolutely gorgeous.
I don’t have much else to say about the game yet but I was wondering who else out there might be playing it and who’s globes I might see floating through my version of Albion.

I am also waiting for Fallout 3! I bought Dead Space, but I figured that would be alright because it’s not an RPG. For some reason I can’t play two RPGs at the same time.

Anybody else get creeped out by the insulting gargoyles? I’m running out of the temple of shadows and suddenly I heard some British voice insulting me, but there’s nobody around. All I can think is … Who let Jim Sterling into this game?
After googling the area, I found out there are insulting gargoyling hidden throughout the game that you have to shoot to ultimately find a treasure. Cool, huh?
They’re hidden pretty good too, but if you follow their voices which are pretty distinct you’ll find them stuck on a wall in the area just waiting for you to shoot their annoying little face off.

I actually didn’t enjoy the original Fable at all. However, oddly enough, I’ve been playing Fable II for several days now and I’m pretty taken with it. I can’t quite pin it down, but it feels like they’ve integrated all the disparate parts of the gameplay much more uniformly this time around. It also helps that there’s a constant stream of reward pretty much everywhere you turn. With this, Fallout III and Gears of War 2 all coming out in the space of three weeks, I have no idea what I’m going to do with myself.

So that is what that voice is??? I’ve been getting pissed off at the voice “in my head” cause I can’t figure out what it is, now I’m going to go on a killing spree for those stupid little heads and blast them all to hell hahaha
