We’ve cover this before on a very personal level but the Chicago Tribune has a really interesting article up about how video arcades have transformed from the dark, dingy halls of yesteryear to the family-friendly niche atmosphere of today.
A local mall in my area has been undergoing a huge facelift as a last attempt to make it a viable commercial venture and there’s one of those family-friendly arcade-ish places going in that’s opening up soon. I shudder to think what it might be like in there but here’s hoping they’ll have a BurgerTime machine stuffed in a corner somewhere.
