Well, at least the one above is. The rest are pure silliness and zombie parts. Hit the jump for the gallery.

My daughter’s room will look like this by Christmas

by the hammer of Jim Squires!

Long time readers of the site may recall my occassional mention of my daughters desire to have a Mario bedroom. We’ve slowly but surely been amassing a small collection of items for it, but hadn’t really come up with a big concept yet. Now we’ve found that concept.

For the not too shabby price of $74.99, you can pick up this full set of reusable vinyl decals to decorate the room of any child or man-child from ThinkGeek.

They also come in Donkey Kong and New Super Mario Bros. flavors. This man-child will be buying the Donkey Kong set for his bedroom pending wifely permissions — but only after the daughter gets hers — I’m not that selfish. How dare you accuse me of..!! Ahh — forget it.

I am 8-bit art show decends on LA August 14th!

by the hammer of Dan Zuccarelli!

Hitting up the 1st two editions of the I am 8-bit art shows where some of the true highlights of those years at E3. Hell the 2nd year I even bought one of the art pieces! So it’s both exciting and saddening to see the new show coming soon and me knowing I’m not going to make it out there. Boo for me, yay for anyone anywhere near the gallery. Seriously, go!

Actually, if you’re going and want to cover it for the site… hit me up! We’ll try and work something out (wink wink).

If a picture’s worth a thousand words, I guess I can see why these are $11.

by the hammer of Jim Squires!

My daughter has decided she wants a Mario bedroom, which is awesome. That got me shopping around on Etsy last night where I found this. It’s from a series of prints that all feature video game characters sketched on vintage book pages. Pa-Rappa and Lammy over sheet music is the bomb, yo. They’re all pretty fantastic and worth checking out.

The downside? These are just 5×7 prints run off a photo printer instead of the real deal, and they’re charging $11. As much as I dig these, I just can’t imagine dropping $11 on a 5×7 photo. Maybe I’ll just order one and see if the quality is better than I think. Click here to check out cyberhafji’s etsy store.

Mario, Patron Saint of Brooklyn

by the hammer of Dan Zuccarelli!

Man, you find some strange stuff on StumbleUpon. Take this drawing I found called Mario, Patron Saint of Brooklyn. Done in the style of an old medieval art piece, but with a mushroom kingdom twist. Weird.

I tried to find out some more about the author, but their site is decidedly sparse. Though there is one or two more game related pictures there.
