Pinball FX was one of my favorite XBLA games from last year. Nice and simple, but with some really creative tables and damn good physics. It all really wrapped together nicely and provided a damn good value.

There’s been a few additions over the ensuing months as well in the form of downloadable content. So far there’s been a Pirate-themed table and a Haunted Mansion. Well now they’re branching into licensed tables… calling up the classic duo or Rocky and Bullwinkle!

Luckily this is based on the cartoon, and not the shit-tastic movie from a few years back…

So far all of these extra tables have cost $2.50, though the pirate one is now free… so my guess is that eventually this one will be on the house…

Those of you who listen to the bitcast may know that I recently dipped my wick in the little bit of Sony golf love known as Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. Hot on the heels of their PS3 release, SCEA has announced Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2 for the PlayStation Portable. Considering the love Dan has spouted for the original PSP title on the ‘cast (now available for download for the low low price of $10.99) I think I may have to pick this one up.

Hey, another Portal story! But this time it’s in relation to another game we love here… Rock Band!

We knew John Coulton’s “Still Alive” was at some point coming to Rock Band and now we know that day is tomorrow (Sadly, PSN players will have to wait till the 17th while they update their store).

But the best news is that this song is going to be Free! As in zip, zero, zilch.

It takes a little bit to get there, but the last of this 3 match set is quite enjoyable. The crowd certainly loves it!

Curling. People snicker and laugh at me when I tell them, and I know I’ve said it here before… but I dig the curling. I imported the Japanese DS Curling game, and can usually be found buying the Winter Olympics games if they contain said sport.

However, this may be the best version yet, especially with the no-doubt more simple interface of Wii games. It’s one of those things that’s better uncomplicated, though I wager they’re idea of sweeping probably has me shaking the wii-mote like a jack-ass. Even still I’m sure I’ll be picking this one up. The other games look like a good addition to Wii Sports, which is still the most played Wii game in the house when people come over.
