Ok — maybe I jumped the gun a little. But when I see foreign fonts and 9/11 circled in red, it gets me a little nervous.

Above is a screencap from the official Japanese The Last Guy site, and they’re clearly advertising something that should be happening on September 11th. Anybody out there want to break out their kanji translation guides and let us know what it is?

In pipe dream world it’ll be a flash program that let’s us design our own maps. In real world? Probably some magic peanuts.

Jim’s been talking about this game for a while now, and it was announced during E3 that we’re going to be getting the game stateside! It’s from the team who brought you WarioWare and looks awesome.

The video below is a collection of Japanese commercials for the game which offer a few seconds of gameplay and the same level or weirdness we’re used to when dealing with Japanese game commercials.

Chalk this one up in the “good god I wish they had this over here” category, cause if there was a zombie-killing DS game that taught me Japanese I’d be all over it!

Sega really is getting their use out of the “…of the Dead” game aren’t they? First a light gun game, then a typing teacher and now a language tutor? What could possibly be next? Sadly Sega has a bit of a track record of beating a franchise into the ground (cough, Sonic)

I’m off to the lovely Las-Vegas for the week, so the postings will probably a little lite for the next few days. Hopefully I’ll still have some readers when I get back…
