Takahashi takes a break from designing playgrounds, designs new game instead

Remember a few years back when Katamari creator Keita Takahashi said he would be leaving the industry after only one title so that he could create playgrounds?  I guess that must not have turned out too well, since Takahashi is back with Namco-Bandai and has just announced a new title: Nobi Nobi Boy.

Nobi Nobi Boy literally translates to “Stretch Stretch Boy,” and as you can see from the image above, he does that in spades.  No word yet on the actual gameplay, but I have no doubt that it’ll be far different from anything we’ve seen before.  It was announced at the Playstation Premiere event in Tokyo yesterday, so we know for sure that this baby is PS3-bound.  No word on other systems though.

Pre-Order Eternal Sonata & get a gorgeous 360 faceplate

by the hammer of Dan Zuccarelli!

Some of us dig the faceplates, others couldn’t care less. Me? I’ve bought a few but can’t seem to take my E305 faceplate off the machine. But one of these here faceplates just might do the trick.

People that pre-order Eternal Sontata from Gamestop/EB Games will recieve one of these 5 honestly beautiful faceplates. Not sure if you get to choose or if you get one at random, but they’re all very slick looking.

You get the combination of the one-against-many play style of Dynasty Warriors but instead of playing a solider you get to pilot the robot Gundam. What’s this mean? We’ll be beam sabering tons upon tons of enemy Gundam, leaving a trail of twisted metal in our wake.

The game is going to combine quite a few of the Gundam series into one storyline for the game, and will contain elements of First, Mobile Suit Gundam, Turn A, Zeta Gundam and of course Gundam Wing. [Update: G Gundam is also included] We’re also going to see appearances from some of your favorite Gundam characters. As a bonus, they’ll also be playable. Continue Reading »
