There are some great gaming tats out there but this isn’t one of them. You have to be pretty hardcore Nintendo fan.. or crazy just plain crazy to dig a NES controller into your skin. Didn’t want to gross anybody out so painful picture after the jump.

Took long enough, don’t you think? I have tried three times to buy this game for the NES. Each time, the cart did not work. At least this time it should work on the Wii with no problem at all. That is if I can pull myself away from Mario Kart Wii long enough to download it. For some of you who might be too young to remember Double Dragon (a legend among legends), here’s the description:

Double Dragon (NES^®, 1-2 players, Rated Everyone 10+ — Mild Violence, 500 Wii Points): Double Dragon begins with Billy Lee’s girlfriend, Marian, being kidnapped by a group called the Black Warriors. They demand to know the secrets of Billy’s martial-arts style in exchange for his girlfriend. However, Billy won’t stand for these underhanded tactics and decides to rescue her himself. Help him fight through city streets, buildings, jungles, temples and various other locations in a quest to find his girl. He’ll gain experience by using different fighting techniques to obtain more hearts, which will unlock more powerful techniques to use against his enemies. Keep an eye out for crates, boulders, whips, bats, knives and even dynamite along the way, as Billy can also use them to annihilate opponents. Armed with his mysterious and powerful martial arts, help Billy pummel his way through an array of goons, gang members and other Black Warrior scum to free Marian from their clutches.

Are any of you going to buy it?

Two controller plugs, video-out, a reset switch and an on/off switch. All these parts of a Famicom clone have been shoved into the confines of a NES cartridge for your gaming/space-saving pleasure. It’s pretty amazing. At least I think it is. I imagine it would look funny having a cartridge sticking out from the top of another, but hey, if this is how you like to roll, more power to you! Would you like to get your hands on this novelty item?

Funny it doesn’t seem any more violent that Narc for the NES. Now that game was hardcore.

Its amazing what you can make with some spare NES parts and a little know how. You can get the plans to make your very over at hackedgadgets.

What is it with people getting the orange Zappers tattoed on them? The original gray ones are vastly superior and the original colors. That aside I dig the “Stick to your Guns” mantra. It’s a infinitly better tattoo than the Zapper in the waistband one.
