We’re not going totally dark, but we’re gonna be on a reduced posting schedule in order to get a little R&R.

Personally I’ve been burning the candle at both ends and need a little breather… and let’s be honest you’ve all probably got better shit to do anyways like see some movies and play some games!

We’ll be back to normal after the new year, and bringing you original stuff other sites don’t cover.

We’ll be wrapping up our top ten’s of the year soon, which is always fun…. It’s not part of the normal routine, but it’s still very important.

So here in the states we celebrate Thanksgiving… it’s an excuse we American’s give ourselves to stuff our faces and pass out on the couch whilst watching football (and not the good kind, i.e. soccer).

And before you say we American’s eat like that all the time, let me just say this… you’re right. But at least on Thanksgiving we have an excuse.

And not just for the eating! We’re also using it as an excuse to take a few days off. 2, in fact. So we’ll see you bright and early on Monday morning.

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’d really like to write for a video game blog but don’t want being paid to get in the way”? Then have I got the non-paying job for you! I’m beginning to think about adding on a few new writers here, and while this isn’t an official call-to-arms I wanted to put this out there in case any of our readers think they’ve got what it takes to join our pirate crew.

So here’s the break-down….

1. There’s no pay (sorry), unless we hit it big!
2. We do get review copies of some games that I give out to the writers
3. Access to trade shows as press if you’re nearby or want to travel
4. Having your writing seen by thousands of people a day!
5. Have the ability to post routinely and possibly on weekends
6. Preferably wordpress savvy

I’m kicking around the idea of doing some comic book/action figure type coverage on weekends as well, so if that’s your bag let me know. Still interested? Send me an email with some writing samples or link to online articles you’ve written.

Electronic Arts just called. They said they’re gonna cancel the Madden football games this year as their birthday present to you. Happy Birthday ya loony.
